Body Talks

Updated: May 21, 2020

Our body carries us, stands up for us, lies down for us, and follows our every command. Sometimes we overdo, under-do, extend and tire our frame. We drag it around, expecting it to answer to our beck and call. With little or no thought for it's well being. When are we going to STOP, take a break, and listen to its voice?

Does our body have a voice?

You eat something that doesn't "agree" with you. Feeling sick, and needing to relieve yourself.

Why does my head hurt? I can't think clearly. I didn't get enough sleep.

I feel so tired and achy. My skin is dry. My face is breaking out. I am having a hard time catching my breath.

These are all signs and symptoms of your body talking back to you. Trying to get your attention to tell you something.

The bottom line IS we need to LISTEN to our body, interpret the signs, and give it what it needs.

If you are feeling thirsty, your body is already dehydrated. If you are tired, you may need more sleep. If your body aches, take a break. When short of breath, slow it down and BREATH.

Give your body what it deserves, and it will serve you well.

Attention, time, rest, good food, and water are all very essential components to keeping your body happy, healthy, and whole.

Of course grandma's love, cooking, and care does wonders for the body also!
