Myrtle Beach

Updated: May 19, 2020

If you like the feeling of sand in between your toes, water spraying on your face, or just cooling down on a hot day, then this destination is a must for you to consider.

Family and pet-friendly environment steps away from the water, sandy beaches stretching for miles, hotels for every budget, and tons of activities for you and the kids.

If you are a "foody" like me, you will enjoy the array of restaurants that offer "Calabash" style service with plenty of outdoor seating. Fresh seafood and good hearty southern cooking for any time of the year. Pancake houses and ice-cream parlors are galore.

Water parks, miniature golf, zipline, and go-karts are all easily accessible, to fill your day with family fun and laughter.

T-shirts, towels, trinkets, and souvenirs, as well as modern mega stores, line route 17 for miles. Movie theaters and malls for shopping.

On the quiet side, there are state parks, gardens, and plantation estates to visit.

Many have beach access and nature trails to enjoy.

Bird and animal lovers welcome

Horseback riding along the beach, fishing on the pier, or a stroll on the boardwalk.

Any season is a good time to visit. You will always find something to do!

There will definitely be fewer crowds, shorter lines, and lower temperatures in the winter months. And of course, expect the opposite in the warmer summertime!

I do recommend adding it to your list of places to visit.
