You cross the H.L. Hunley bridge from IOP (Isle of Palms) to Sullivan's Island, and you instantly step into a time-warp filled with history and nature.

The best way around the island is by bike which you can rent (or borrow) as I did from one very kind local.
Visit and tour Fort Moultrie and go back in time to the 1770s.
Kid-friendly, near the beach, and beautiful views of the inlets will make this trip memorable. Ride by the lighthouse, stop and admire the architecture, take a stroll through the nature trails.
Park the car or golf-cart at Thomson Park, have a picnic on the bench or beach, and take in the views of the two islands.
