Who or What are you Carrying?

Updated: May 19, 2020

Have you ever stopped to think as to why you may be feeling heavy laden or burdened down emotionally?

Most of the time we are so busy that we barely take a moment to really "think" about it, and this is becoming a big problem in our society today.

If we would ONLY take a few minutes a day to ponder our emotions, WE would feel better, be more joyful to be around, AND the world would be a better place.

Let these thought-provoking ideas color your mind today and help you live lighter and brighter.

Do you allow yourself to carry or latch unto other people's negative emotions?

A co-worker is having a bad day. The domino effect, and next thing you know, you are too.

What about covering up a mistake you made instead of owning up? Then the feelings of guilt seem to pile on because you did something wrong.

Do you sometimes feel as if you might be someone else's punching bag or spinning top? You just stand there when the person is raising their voice, maybe even saying profanities and verbally ranting?

You do not have to hold your ground, but you might need to take a stand.

Try saying this. "While I understand, you might be upset and I would like to help, I don't appreciate the way you are speaking right now."

How people choose to react or respond is not your responsibility. It is there's. Don't take it on. It's their baggage.

Take ownership of yourself, your actions, and your emotions. It is NOT wrong to have "negative feelings". It is what you do with them that makes the difference.

Take the time, to think, regroup and refresh on a daily basis.

We will be creating a more colorful and radiant road ahead.
